the L word

The L word.
Isn't it the show Jady blogged on?
I saw the episodes on our school sharing hub and out of curiosity downloaded n watched one.
Like many other typical american shows, this one's no exception, selling the big word 'sex' and 'love'. Sexless shows simply don't exist anymore. Not one staged in LA. This one's about lesbians(or sometimes bisexuals).
Wasn't interested in following up on the plots coz it's already into 2nd season n still running. Too lengthy to trace back.
There's one particular actress that stands out among all others. Her name is Katherine Moennig (cousin of Gwenyth Paltrow). Her role as Shane in 'the L word' isn't excatly her premier breakthrough 'defining role' so to speak. She has acted transvestites, tomboys well before 'L'. And mysterious as to the consensus many women audience have reached that Shane's the ultimate sex symbol and wickedly alluring, I have to admit she's the one who leaves the strongest impression on me after just one episode. The rest of the players may come across as ordinary women you see shopping on streets, walking past but Shane just charms. The way she dresses n moves. Her deep voice, her coolness, her flippancy. Two deadly important things that play to her success: dressing style & good looks. Sometimes her smile reminds me of Meg Ryan. Meg Ryan in white T-shirt & leather pants, with dark eye shadows and stylistically ruffled black hair. haha






Not sure how to describe her looks. I'll just stick to the cliche word 'sexy'...
