Leon

Link to Verson 1 Script

Blogbus isn't connnectable and I've resorted to dumping everything here instead. A series of remotely relevant events led up to what I just did, reading the original script of Leon the Professional by Luc Besson. It started with a Korean movie called 'Daisy' which's a love story between an artist and a sniper so we naturally recalled Leon in parallel vein and concluded Leon's still the record holder in assassin related genre. G said the original script was far more violent and love relationship between Leon and Mathilda more explicit. Reading the script whole gives me an intense feeling undelivered by the movie and I have to say character portrayal is superb, Leon's proficiency and shyness, or Mathilda's burning creed in 'love and death'. The contrasting parts in their personality bring forward lovely awkwardness that keeps tugging at your heart. In the end the crux of this movie can be nicely summarised by Mathilda's religon, love and death that is. Life's overpowering movements.
