Wall.E

Trailer

Thought I should blog in English for a change. My respect for Pixar stepped up a stage after watching Wall.E(short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class).When it comes to animating and humanising 'inanimate objects'in 3D, Pixar's definitely the pioneer. Toy story, or the short series featuring lamps and bicycles are earlier examples of bringing 'dead objects' to life. Wall.E's directed by Andrew Stanton, who wrote and directed Finding Nemo that won the academy. This guy's got all the right spots for emotional tenderness be it a fish or machine. As for me Wall.E ranks even higher than Nemo as our main characters have few voice lines and emotions are better conveyed through gestures and details. Ah, another academy to pocket. I'm not sure if the Americans should be proud or sad of Pixar's total prowess and monopoly.

Wall.E is SOOOOOO ADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORABLE~~~~~ (shaky screams that dissipate into the vast universe and bounce back to earth)

Well, well, this's hardly a review. What can I say, I have the urge to watch it again in cinema!

Quote from wiki
In an interview with World Magazine's Megan Basham, Stanton explained his singular vision for WALL-E: "(W)hat really interested me was the idea of the most human thing in the universe being a machine because it has more interest in finding out what the point of living is than actual people. The greatest commandment Christ gives us is to love, but that's not always our priority. So I came up with this premise that could demonstrate what I was trying to say—that irrational love defeats the world's programming. You've got these two robots that are trying to go above their basest directives, literally their programming, to experience love."
